Winter Park Vacation Testimonials From The Fritz Lodge

The Fritz Vacation Lodge Story

We have returned home from our trip to Colorado. You have a beautiful home! Our family had plenty of space to move around for personal space and yet plenty of room to spend as an entire group. Our son is autistic and is sometimes uncomfortable in new surroundings, however, he was very comfortable in your home. We liked your kitchen. It allowed as to have family meals all together.

Bernice stopped and gave us the wine and beer. That was very kind of you and we appreciated your thoughtfulness. Bernice is very sweet. I enjoyed visiting with her. Several members of the family mentioned that their favorite part of the stay was visiting in the morning and evenings on the your deck. That was enjoyable, especially after a busy day of exploring the area. If any guests ever want to know what other guests have enjoyed in the area, here are some of the activities our family found to do:

  • A visit to Grand Lake - many activities to do: go-carting, miniature golf, shopping (my favorite), water activities
  • A ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad - great train ride and cute shops inside the town of Georgetown (we could have spent more time there than we allowed for)
  • A visit to Winter Park Resort - great day of exploring the mountaintops

Very family oriented activities. Even our autistic son rode the Alpine Slides and went Bungee Jumping. Very accommodating staff for families that have special needs. Part of our family went to Snow Mountain Camp to hike. On their morning hike, a Moose was on the path, approximately 15 feet away! That was scary! My niece who led the hike said that they were tree huggers as they descended the mountain. If more time was allowed, they would have done the Zipline there as well. Some of the family toured the higher altitudes where they played in the snow and visited different mines. Part of the family went to the Fraser Rodeo. They enjoyed especially the kid events.

As you can tell, we had no problems finding activities to do while there. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home. We truly enjoyed our stay!
